The Chronicles of Cream, Chapter I...S'Mores

Flavor: S’mores
Contains: “Chocolate Ice Cream with Fudge Chunks, Toasted Marshmallow & a Graham Cracker Swirl”
History: Introduced in 2002, formerly known as “Marsha Marsha Marshmallow”

Tasting Note: Chocolate dominates the palate, standard B&J chocolate ice cream with flattering fudge chunks adding a darker chocolate punch at just the right moment. The chunks come in a variety of sizes and shapes but fall mostly between pin head and about a ½ a chocolate chip. The Toasted Marshmallow ribbons are truly the color of a perfectly toasted, but not burnt marshmallow and are spread at nice intervals throughout the pint, but it lacked any real identifiable flavor. The Graham Cracker Swirl was really more of an occasional, OK, very occasional graham cracker crumb that just as well could have accidentally come while Max was opening a new Graham Cracker package in close proximity to the open ice cream container so it provided only the occasional subtle graham flavor but certainly not in every bite.
It’s a very well made flavor and the overall taste was really quite good; it just didn’t conjure up any campfire memories. S'mores is best for people that like chocolate based ice creams with a bit of texture and other flavors added into the mix to keep things interesting.

Side Note: I believe the Fudge Chunks here are identical in taste to the Fudge Fish in Phish Food.
